Founded in 1976, Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie (BIAT) is a universal bank and a key player in Tunisia. BIAT is now a solid banking group with subsidiaries in insurance, asset management, private equity, stock market intermediation and consultancy. BIAT is present throughout the country and today has 206 branches throughout Tunisia, with almost 2,000 employees working to serve all its customers: private individuals, professionals, SMEs, large companies and institutional investors, and more than 1,000 correspondents worldwide. BIAT is very attentive to its social responsibility and has translated its position as a good corporate citizen into a number of commitments.
With the opening of a branch of its subsidiary BIAT France - IYU approved payment agent - BIAT is taking a decisive step forward in its ambitions to establish itself as a key player in the service of Tunisians living abroad (known as TRE). Through this partnership, IYU and BIAT wish to strengthen their presence alongside Tunisians living in France, by offering them a low-cost account transfer service and support in carrying out their projects in Tunisia.
